Hopkins County Judicial Center

Marcum Engineering, LLC provided the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design for this new judicial center located in Madisonville, Kentucky. The new facility is 71,128 square feet in total, making it one of the larger judicial centers in Kentucky.
The center consists of the following spaces:

- Two Circuit Courtrooms
- Two District Courtrooms
- One Family Courtroom
- Secure Entry Area
- Prisoner Holding Area
- Mechanical/Electrical Room
- Clerk’s Office
- Evidence Storage Area
- Pre-trial Area/Conference Area
- Building Services
- Sally Port
Special attention was given to the special systems to ensure adequate capacity to support modern data, video, computer, and networking technology. Security is also of the upmost importance, and this facility provides the highest level of Kentucky court security through a single point entry with magnetometers and security personnel.
