Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis
  • EIT (Engineering in Training) preferred
  • Experience with MicroStation preferred

Job Duties:

  • Performing highway bridge design and detailing tasks under the supervision of a senior engineer
  • Performing structural analysis
  • Preparing design calculations, detailed checking of design calculations performed by others
  • Developing structural details and construction plans using MicroStation
  • Assisting with geometric layout and material quantity calculations
  • Assisting in bridge condition inspections and preparing of condition reports.

Seeking exceptional candidate as a Structural Engineer to manage, design, and detail building structures both independently and as part of a small team. Will work along with our firm’s Structural Department Head to meet our clients’ needs. Desired candidate shall be skilled in selecting structural systems and conceptual framing, performing all necessary analysis and design calculations, developing construction drawings and specifications, self-performing drafting and written texts, reviewing shop drawings, and reviewing contractor’s work during construction. Candidate will also be assisting in the development of entry-level structural engineers.

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor or Master of Science Degree in Structural Engineering
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the design of building structures
• Professional Engineer Registration
• Engineering design skills in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber
• Experienced with design codes
• Experience in production of construction documents (drawings and specifications)
• Versed in 3D analysis software
• Fluent in REVIT
• Proven experience in working on multiple projects concurrently and supervising and following budgets and schedules.

• Preparation and processing of Boundary Surveys, Parcel Maps, Subdivision Maps, Elevation Certificates, Legal Descriptions, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys and Construction Staking Calculations.
• Familiar with obtaining research from Court House, PVA office, City Hall and Utility Municipalities
• Client acquisition, management and coordination.
• Proficiency with robotic total station, total station, Data Collection, GPS, LiDar with the willingness and/or ability to learn.
• Equipment maintenance and calibration.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D.

This person will manage a team of individuals designing and inspecting all aspects of transportation related structures for multiple states (KY, IL, MO, TN) and local municipalities and county governments.
Experience Level: 5+ years as a Structural Engineer

Essential Job Functions: Managing of projects including maintaining quality control of the work product and effectively completing project on time and within budget, performing structural analysis and preparing design calculations, reviewing calculations performed by others, developing structural details and construction plans, assisting with geometric layout and material quantity calculations and preparing bridge condition inspections and reports.

Qualifications Desired: Experience in MicroStation, MS Office and structural design software, familiarity with structural related standards and publications, proficiency using bridge design software, proven experience in working on multiple projects concurrently and supervising and following budgets and schedules. Structural Engineer License.
