    Primary Responsibilities:


    • Perform all necessary analysis, design, and detailed tasks for roadway, utilities, site development and stormwater projects
    • Utilize AutoCAD drafting software to develop construction documents
    • Perform quantity take-off analysis from construction documents
    • Complete reports to supplement engineer design
    • Evaluate shop drawings

    Primary Qualifications:


    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Civil Engineering Technology or 1 – 5+ years experience in similar role
    • Experience in AutoCAD, MS Word and MS Excel

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • 1 – 5+ years of relevant engineering experience

    Position Profile:


    • Provides support for projects involving, but not limited to transportation and civil engineering projects.
    • Requires thorough knowledge and accurate use of roadway and structural drafting techniques, computer operations, and roadway / structural engineering practices.
    • Maintains technical knowledge with regards to computers, software, and design techniques learn and adapt to new programs and adjust to changes in product and client demands.
    • Executes and adheres to quality assurance requirements.
    • Provides all functions for total Client satisfaction with exceptional services.

    Qualifications:


    • Education/Experience:

      • Associate in Computer Aid Drafting and Design (CADD) or Civil Engineering Associate commensurate related technical program preferred, but not required. Alternate training and experience will be considered in lieu of an Associate Degree.
      • On-the-job experience with development of roadway and /or structural construction documents is preferred to show new assignments technical skills.
      • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience is preferred with an Associate Degree.

       

      Other Preferred Qualifications:

      • A working knowledge of AutoCAD and previous work experience with this software. 
      • Experience with 3D modeling software in roadway, structure and site development design

    Essential Functions/Responsibilities:


    • Demonstrated technical knowledge and experience in the planning and design of roadways, structures and site developments; stormwater management / drainage design; and surveying experience.
    • Demonstrated training and/or experience (preferred) with MicroStation, Power Geopak V8i Powered by OpenRoads Technology, and other related design software applications as required for plan production.
    • Develop plans and related documents from engineering input; perform mathematical calculations; and prepare details, and other related requirements as part of the overall bidding / construction document package.
    • Perform calculations and provide engineering solutions to complex problems with oversight from a professional engineer or supervisor/manager.
    • Adhere to project deadlines and keep supervising staff informed of any difficulties encountered on assignments.
    • Investigate field conditions and read and comprehend as-built drawings, construction specifications, client base standards and technical information to develop drawings.
